Subject: RE: Origins: Fredrick Ferrari [Charlie Chester Show] From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 17 Jan 08 - 06:46 PM He certainly recorded for Parlophone - check this page: 78 Discography for Parlophone Records - UK - R3000 series. Orchestra leader Frank Chacksfield accompanied him sometimes on 78s from 1948 (not with his orchestra I think!), so you might find something through him (I didn't on a quick look). Here's a list of some recording: Popmusic-info - Frederick Ferrari And there's a little discussion on this board: Whirligig - Obscure Singers of the 50s I came across one 78 of his for sale, but I didn't see anything current. Subject: RE: Origins: Fredrick Ferrari [Charlie Chester Show] From: GUEST,Mrs miffee Date: 07 Aug 14 - 07:51 AM I came across your site and it is so nice to see folks remembering Frederick Farrari. I loved his voice and his rendition of "When Love Descended Like An Angel". When I was a young girl in the 50s I wrote to him he replied to me with a photo of himself , which I treasured for many years, sadly moves have lost this connection with him. I would love to know more about him have you any info please. |
