OK MoorleyMan, I apologise. I'm sorry. Just felt miffed when all I was doing was to bring back up onto the main page a site that had fallen off the page.
I did this so that this great festival would'nt risk losing out on potential 'attendees' by keeping it visible so it could get their attention - whether full information about the festival was available yet - or not.
At least if a notice of the festival is 'visible' and can be viewed it will attract attention from existing and 'new' punters who I'm sure will have the patience to wait for full details - especially when Alio has already explained that the organisers are stretched to the limit and that the website will be updated soon.
I know time is getting tight - but if anyone is still making their mind up about coming to this festival - don't think about it - just book it or put it in your diary and turn up - It's a smashing festival and you'll love it!

Apology gladly accepted, Soldier boy!
I look forward to meeting you there (if I get to make it myself).

But I do agree with you - it has been a smashing festival, a real highlight of the calendar every year so far (I've been to all but the very first Saddleworth!), and I'd not want it to lose all the goodwill and support it's built up over the years.

Less than 4 weeks to go ...
The Young'Uns are Brill, superb singers and harmonies to make you shudder in pleasure(!) I'm sure there's a better description than that - but WOW, go listen for yourselves. They were in Cottingham last month and went down a storm.
Wellies ready. Mozzie cream ready, Hissyfit ready...

See you there.
Hazel.

O Sunny Saddleworth that will be a first!

Lots of drinking to cool, and quench the thirsts no doubt

I am there somewhere, as usual, check out the programme

Maybe we (Yorkies) can have a drink from the WOR cup this year!!

With assistance from Hissyfit and Mick McGarry

I am also singing and leading a Yorkshire songs session with Jim Potter and Alma Wright and John Greaves

I would like the assurance of the Festival Committee that, should the weekend be fine, they will keep the mossies under control.
Particularly those in the region of The Museum.

Otherwise I will expect them to provide rain, as per usual.

Aaagh!! I've just seen all your messages, so I'll try to reply to all of them! Very sorry to have dropped off on the radar - it's been a hectic year. My wonderful dad died at the age of 93, then i went off to the Orkney folk festival, and I've just spent 2 wonderful weeks in France with my equally wonderful 4 grandchildren. All excuses I know, but there you are!

Anyone wanting a full programme of events, just email me on aliobrien@btinternet.com, and I'll send you one gladly. or anything else you need to know, come to that!

There is a ceilidh - it's on Saturday evening as usual in the Methodist Hall. No bar there - for obvious reasons - so just take your own refreshments in, inc alcohol. Hamish, we're ready for anything in Saddleworth!!!

It's going to be fine and sunny - I've booked the weather!

Soldier Boy, thanks for all the lovely comments - what do you drink?!!

I'll be MCing 2 of the main concerts this time in the Civic - Saturday night and Sunday afternoon - plus doing 3 live radio broadcasts with lots of the artists, inc our own Hissyfit and Ray Padgett, plus 2 other smaller MC events! So I'm going to be pretty busy, but not too busy to have a glass of Jamieson's with you all!!

See you all then - unless you're at Cleckheaton in which case I'll see you this weekend - I'm MCing the main concert in the Town Hall on Saturday night. It'll be lovely to introduce Eric Bogle and John Munro!

Ali xx

One week left to complete packing.
I think, after perusing Soldier Boys' list, I should hire a 20foot container in lieu of a tent and get bunk beds.. and a compressor - (to power a water pump) to keep me above any precipitation that gathers!

This year I PROMISE to take advice on where to pitch the Te-pe!
Counting the days

And to Alio, special thanks in advance for booking the weather!!
