Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 07 From: My guru always said Date: 07 Dec 06 - 03:21 PM Port workshop? Hmmm, now let me think...... It's a distict possibility *grin* Fab work Dave, see you at Seaford (thanks to Vectis) tomorrow perhaps? My Dear Splott Man: for 'kindly agreed', read 'managed to persuade Dame Patti (without quite twisting her arm behind her back) to allow me to extend Miskin into a real holiday in South Wales & have fun & sing at the same time' - it'll be a delightful privilige (how on earth do you spell that?) Oh, and Giok, thanks so much for pointing us at those pictures again - I'm getting that Miskin feeling again (thanks Andy) |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 07 From: Andy Jackson Date: 07 Dec 06 - 03:43 PM So that's the feeling I'm getting is it? I thought it was panic that usually hits me about now when I realise I haven't got out of it again. Working hard on website still, most guests have confirmed so I can post a full list when I launch the site. I will post on here of course when its up and running. Andy |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 07 From: Richard Bridge Date: 07 Dec 06 - 04:12 PM Brie should be French. Port should be Spanish (and not white). Yates's Wine Lodge used to do a line in white port! |

If there are any Catters going to Miskin from that part of the world I will do all sorts of things for them if they bring me smoked Wensleydale Love Lynne |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 07 From: MBSLynne Date: 08 Dec 06 - 03:27 AM And there's no "Should" about port, brie, or any other food. Food, like folk, should be revered for it's traditions which should be recorded and performed or eaten as they are, but they should also be allowed to evolve. Love Lynne |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 07 From: Dave Earl Date: 08 Dec 06 - 03:35 AM Well the port 'n cheese idea seems to be off the ground. May need the use of a fridge to stop all the cheese escaping:-)(port and wine can stay at room or terrace temperature unless you are going to bring something that needs chilling). Anybody heard from Cllr recently - he was one of the people who mooted the idea last Easter. Good job we have the Middle Bar reunion (and a couple of sings local to me) between now and Easter the anticipation would be almost unbearable!! Dave |
