When, lo! these many many years back, I was working on a drug hotline, the ol' "cubes to the jewels" treatment was recommended for heroin overdose while they took the guy to the hospital. It worked then (1969-70) and it seems to work now.

It seemed an unlikely treatment, but you know, whatever works....

1) I used to be thin.
2) I used to smoke.
3) I never went to high school but I did get a degree in college.
4) My favorite job is tutoring, especially in basic English. Acquiring a second language is a very small thing compared with learning to read and write one's own language.
5) I was born into an Amish family and remained Amish until I left home at 17.
