Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Midchuck Date: 15 Mar 10 - 05:08 PM The pneumonia is slowly giving up and I have a bit of voice, so I guess I'd have to say I'm on the right side of the grass and doing ok. Rats! There goes my scheme to con Jacqui out of the 12-string... (Just kidding. We're glad. Honest.) Peter |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Tinker Date: 15 Mar 10 - 06:33 PM Hmmm doubt anyone is gonna con Jacqui out of anything. Hey Kendall, Here's a puzzler.... In the scratch your head category, the heavy horizontal rain came in and created a leak on the 2nd floor leaving the attic and third floor bone dry this weekend..... Of course it was strategically placed over my bed ..... What can you do but grin..... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Midchuck Date: 15 Mar 10 - 06:45 PM My grandson is learning guitar and likes the look of a twelve string! Well, that ends that. Who can con better than a grandchild? (Well, a hungry cat, maybe...) P. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: jacqui.c Date: 16 Mar 10 - 10:52 AM No one cons better than this grandchild - he asks and Nanny generally manages to get, with Mum's approval, of course. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Tinker Date: 16 Mar 10 - 08:45 PM As for pictures of the exterior of the house, I will post something tomorrow I can't seem to find the photos I know I had before of the exterior of the house. It's an odd spot between the turret and large windows in the next room, but after glancing at google maps view perhaps it is where the very steep and two story high peaked roof meets the house in an odd cross section... The heavy rains we had later in the weekend that came straight down, all normal like, didn't leak at all.... We've actually looked at a spot above our heads for 11 years wondering what happened in the past to cause a leak in such a strange place..... Safe internet practices state I must refrain from posting any more personal photos of flashing at this location. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: VirginiaTam Date: 17 Mar 10 - 05:07 PM Kendall a little lullaby for you. for Kendall I know how you like Scotland. Afraid the movie maker or youtube buggered up the quality of TSO's pic. The quality of my voice is sadly what it is and not enhanced by laptop sound recorder or cheap mic. AND before the traddies descend - yes I know that Bonny At Morn is a Northumberland song. If I want to put the song with my north west Scotland holiday pics, I bloody well will. Get over it. |

I'm one of the very lucky ones who get to hear him in my own living room from time to time. Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Micca Date: 18 Mar 10 - 08:42 AM Kendall, are you allowed back into Scotland?? after the Glenmorangie and Pepsi incident?? Hope you are well Skipper and keep on keeping on. Saw a movie on DVD last week called "Behind Enemy Lines" with Gene Hackman as an Admiral, for some reason he strongly reminded me of you!!!! I think it was the attitude! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Rapparee Date: 18 Mar 10 - 08:59 AM Pepsi? I heard it was root beer. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: kendall Date: 18 Mar 10 - 09:31 AM I like Gene Hackman. He's like Russian toilet paper; he takes no crap off anyone. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: jacqui.c Date: 18 Mar 10 - 09:57 AM No Rap - definitely Pepsi. We went on a tour of the Glenmorangie distillery - the last stop was to sample a dram of the magic brew. The very proper Scottish lady guide (think Prime of Miss Jean Brodie) told us that we would have a sip of the neat product and then a little drop of water would be added to bring out the flavour. Kendall just told her that he never took water with his Scotch, but if she had a Diet Pepsi..... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: gnu Date: 18 Mar 10 - 10:06 AM DIET Pepsi? Did he get his aspertamed? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Amos Date: 18 Mar 10 - 10:20 AM I knew we were kindred spirits; the hand that guided you to that Pepsi is the same mystic force that led me on to pour single-malt in black coffee...delicious... A |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: VirginiaTam Date: 18 Mar 10 - 02:23 PM Now that's just weird. Just today I was looking for remedies for removing the sticky adhesive left behind from contact paper (Fablon) and found this "Highly acidic colas can work wonders on removing contact paper adhesive." If it dissolves glue, what must it do to your innards? Isn't the whiskey caustic enough? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: SINSULL Date: 18 Mar 10 - 02:29 PM Vinegar works too Miss Tam for the same reason. Hi Captain. You're sounding better. SINS |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Ebbie Date: 18 Mar 10 - 07:37 PM Sinsull, I understand that, caustic as it is, cola is not as strong as stomach acid itself. Regurgitation is the answer. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: katlaughing Date: 18 Mar 10 - 08:25 PM We used to use cola to clean off the battery terminals on our car. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's new thread -Update 9 March 2010 From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 19 Mar 10 - 01:30 AM Sometime back in the 70s I heard that colas could be used to wash out truck radiators. I hated the caffine taste & couldn't drink them, so this was a good reason not to drink 'em when people asked me. sandra |
