I was wondering if any of you lot out there had any movies of yourselves performing on Youtube, and what sort of responses you've had?

Suggestion: For anyone posting videos there, include Mudcat in the search words. A simple search would then pull up all the mudcat videos.

Put "Permathread" in the title search box right above the threads, then set the drop down menu date back a few days. The youtube Permathread will come up and will have several listed, as well as the other threads dwditty referred to.

SylviaN, the link doesn't work, period, and the only way you could have got it to work was by messing about with the URL, you certainly didn't get directly to the YouTube video by clicking on it.

That is because the URL as supplied by Jed is faulty, it reads

http://www.youtube.com/v/4VmatGaZSxg

whereas it should read

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VmatGaZSxg

using the latter URL gives (I hope) the correct link

I have some videos up where I am backing other musicians. I don't have any of just me or me doing my stuff. You can youtube JT Oglesby and some vids will pop up. I am not gonna swear to the style or quality of them though lol. I just know some people have told me that they found some vids of me an other people by typing in my name.

Can one of you please explain what the procedure is from a camcorder video or DVD to a clip that can be uploaded to YouTube? What kind of file do they want to see, and what software do I need to make it?
