Has anyone ever heard a song that starts... You say, i only hear what i want to, i dont listen hard (<-- maybe its a different word there) to..... i dont know the rest, all i know is that its sung by a woman and is not a brand new song. if anyone knows the name of this song PLEASE email me!! Actually, it is by Lisa Loeb. The title is Stay and is on her Tails CD. Words and tab here.

Idle comment~~this is the only pop album I have bought in probably the last twenty years, unless you count Mary Chapin Carpenter.

By the way, I gotta' give her credit for doing a grat solo act...no band, just her and her guitar, and she is a fine picker. Not all her songs wind my watch, but she has an excellent stage presence!

Seed, I think you're right....the Paw is going soft, kinda like he scratched all the way to the bottom of the litter box and has nothing more to dig out....We need to find the witless wonders AND the three brothers, Reg, Reg, and their other brother Reg, make sure they all have tiples and at least two banjos, and send them to Catpaws' house to light up his life. Maybe an accordian and a bodhran, too! Think that would do it?

I once saw Melissa Etheridge do an acoustic set and was completely blown away by her. Sort of made me listen again to her albums in a different way. Just because they do pop don't mean they's bad.

Agreed. Though as catspaw says, Lisa Loeb's music is not always to my taste (and her lyrics are sometimes decipherless!), it is easy to hear/see the dedication that she obviously brings to the music. As far as her playing goes, in February she was named the best female acoustic guitarist at the Orville H. Gibson Awards. Melissa Etheridge also won, for top blues guitarist.
