Welcome to the Mudcat, pbb. If you put " Lavalier" in the SuperSearch box up on the right and hit Search, you will find several threads which have some discussion about these.

Also, have you checked on ebay? I don't know exactly what you are looking for but just putting "Lavalier mic" in the search box turns up a lot with a wide price range.
