Frank Hennessey will be performing at the Valley Folk Club in Pontardawe near Swansea on friday the 18th May at 8.30pm.The event takes place at the Ivy Bush Hotel on Brecon Rd and all are welcome to come along and see this wonderful folk entertainer perform.Frank is a long time stalwart of the folk scene in Wales and his saturday evening programme on Radio Wales is excellent.

Sounds like a great night .Hennessy is a great performer and also a great writer of songs that touch the heart.Hope I can make it across the channel that weekend.

Hoping to get to Wales next year - and hope to see Frank then. I also see that Steve Earle will be at Sesiwn Fawr this Summer in my ancestral town of Dolgellau. I've been learning Frank's song for Cardiff and Steve's Pilgrim for jams here. Two fine song-writers for us folk singers.

Made it across the Irish Sea and glad I made the effort. It was a great session with Hennessy on top form. A most enjoyable night added to by some great floor singers ,not least Mike O'Leary Johns, someone I had heard of but never actually heard until tonight . Thanks Albert and Nigel for the info.
