One two three
Four five six
Seven eight nine
Ten eleven twelve
Ladybugs
Came to the ladybugs' picnic

One two three
Four five six
Seven eight nine
Ten eleven twelve
And they all played games
At the ladybugs' picnic

They had twelve sacks so they ran sack races
And they fell on their backs and they fell on their faces
The ladybugs 12
At the ladybugs' picnic

They played jump rope but the rope it broke
So they just sat around telling knock-knock jokes
The ladybugs 12
At the ladybugs' picnic

One two three
Four five six
Seven eight nine
Ten eleven twelve
And they chatted away
At the ladybugs' picnic

They talked about the high price of furniture and rugs
And fire insurance for ladybugs
The ladybugs 12
At the ladybugs' picnic
12!

these are the words if anyone wants them

Becca72 and I used to sing this when she was little.

"I never watch Sesame Street, I know most of that stuff." (George Carlin)

Tinks, I don't think that's true. The film is called Summer Magic, and Ladybug Picnic is not listed on the score.

It sounds very much like American singer/musician Chris Goss from the rock band Masters Of Reality. I cant be sure that it's him tho.

OMG. Since I first heard the advert I've been ranting on about Masters of Reality and no one has heard of them and no one cares. I've spent ages trying to find out who in singing Ladybugs Picnic with no great results but now someone else thinks the same as me, I hope we're right but how to find out?

Check the credits on the 'Sesame Street, Sing yourself silly' or it's on the 'singalong songs and games' tape... I'll see if my copy is still around but I know I digitised it and put it outside, so it may have been taken.

The version of the Ladybug's picnic is by the same singer as the advert. Sesame Street was notorious for having wierd and wonderful guests like Jeremy Irons, Barbara Bush, James Taylor, Pete Seeger and Madeleine Kahn so it could have been the chap credited above.

Madeleine's duet with Grover is a fantastic feat of linguistics and song... but my favourite has to be the Honker Dinger Ducky jamboree, and of course, Rubber Ducky.

I used to love Ladybug's Picnic!

Sesame Street in the early/mid 70s was great. Another favorite of mine was "I Love Trash" by Oscar the Grouch (of course).

I am 35 years old and still every once in awhile a skit from "The Street" will pop into my head.

"Get up, snails". :-)

To my ears, the singer of "Ladybugs Picnic" on the recording is not the same as the one heard on the TV show. The singer on the TV version sounded like Jim Kweskin. The singer on the recording does not.
