I saw this tremendous British Blues guitarist at Bideford Folk Festival, Devon in 2006 and was blown away by his mastery of the guitar.
Why has he not been booked by more festivals?

I have no idea but why has it taken you the best part of a year to tell us how much you enjoyed him?

It may be that his music is a little too eclectic for some of the more strictly Tradfolk audience- or the organisers may think it is. I would not hesitate to present him to a festival audience.
I have met Kevin, and he is a really nice guy as well as a superb slide guitar player.
Since I'm not aware that he ever logs on to Mudcat, it is worth knowing that he runs the Slide Guitar School in Bath- so he would also be a good workshop leader.
Cheers
Dave

I've been to slide school in Bath and its very good. Its one day - but very intensive. he's a great teacher and player.

Kevin is a Lancashire lad and writes amonst other things about Lancashire people who die in the Alamo and the city where he lives. So he does write about English subjects.

Once again its this bloody tradition, that seems to be handed down only to the select few. the traditions that the rest of us turn to to express ourselves count for sod all.

Funnily enough I know a completely different Kevin Brown who is a great musician. He plays Hawaiian slack key guitar and is a fine, fine man. He plays with a family band consisting of him, his son and sometimes his daughter. If anyone's interested there's more info in this link

Hello Folkie dave I need another fix of Kevin and his music. I have almost worn out his albums "Tin Church " and "Moave Dust". Unfortunately his gig list on the web site has not been updated so does anyone know where he is playing.
I also saw him at a folk club on Merseyside. The Bromborough Folk club at Port Sunlight Another great performance.

My wife and I met him at Bideford and camped next to him. He regularly made us toast in the mornings. Real nice guy.
