A correspondent on the RSPB online forum referred to a 'Cock Blackbird' and was surprised to find his post amended to '**** Blackbird'.
RSPB say that they have a filter to remove 'offensive words'
Apparently, however, Great Tits gets through unchallenged.
Imagine this applied to Folk! Jake Thackrey's 'Bantam ****' springs to mind, also....
At home there's sheep and cows
That stand around the house,
And a fine **** for my yellow yorlin.....

Must be worth a song!

FC

I recall a site that got filtered at one point because someone mistakenly mistyped the word "duke" as "dyke" - and it got marked as "pornography/sexual content" by the filter

About a year or two ago, there was a British newspaper report about the true story of the school that was offered a block of tickets for the pupils to go and see a local production of the Christmas pantomime " Dick Whittington ". Apparently, the school never received the offer, and no children attended, as the school"s computer blocked out the E-mail, on seeing the word " DICK " -----How pathetic !!

Essex Sussex and Middlesex addresses run into browser problems sometimes. So does the town of Scunthorpe.
