There will be a charity day on Saturday 23rd June in the function room

12 noon to 6pm - free singaround
6pm to midnight - guest evening featuring John Breeze, Chris Flegg, Folkaholics, Steve Last, Mel/Trish/Zoe and Mike Sparks

There will be a raffle - all proceeds to Barton Village Hall refurbishment

Sessions for June

Folk etc. - Wednesday the 6th & 20th May

Open workshop/jam etc. - Wednesday the 13th & 27th May

Everyone welcome to come along & join in - we now operate in the function room - so no background noise/people walking through the session - function room has it's own bar & toilets/non smoking room

My mobile's very poorly and has to go the the shop this afternoon. Hope they can fix him he's very smart, a nice red motarola.

Talkin of Red, he excelled himself again last weekend, team 3rd and individual 2nd, and we've already qualified for the championships and its only June. He's a star. My trainer has forgiven me for beating her the week before, but there's going to be a return match on Thursday 21st.

Very busy at work got another PA off sick with some trauma stress panic thingumy, so I'm doing extreme multi-tasking. No pub for me this week !!!!

My Tim is doing Relegious Studies GCSE as we speek. Last Friday was German, it was multiple choice he answered C for everything. In his German oral the only words he could remember were vegetarian, cheese and interesting and managed to work the whole exam around these three words. That lad will go far !!

Tim's exam was 'cool'. This morning we have double higher chemistry. He's decided he wants to follow his cousin into Forensic's. Personally I wouldn't follow Rachel (cousin) anywhere cos it usually ends up quite gruesome.

Details of Scrump's funeral tomorrow - 14th from Alan/Sue Hewson:

I can now confirm the arrangements for Paul's funeral. It will be at Stevenage Crematorium, at 1.15pm on Thursday 14th June.

The address is Watton Road, Stevenage, SG2 8XT

Directions:
The Crematorium is situated on the Watton Road between Stevenage and Knebworth. The main access is via the Stevenage to Hertford road (A602), linking directly with the A1(M) at Junction 7, less than three miles away.

After the service we will retire to The Orange Norton Rd, Baldock, SG7 5AW to celebrate Paul's memory in the way he loved best, with a pint or real beer or cider and a song.

Frankie has asked for family flowers only.
In lieu there are two options to donate to Paul's memory. Frankie is going to site a memorial seat in one of Paul's favourite places. Donations can be made via the funeral directors. Details will be in the order of service.

Secondly, we are going to hold a music festival in him name in March 2008; an account will be set up to which donations can be made. In the interim, donations for the festival can be via Mad Nanny Music. In addition, a ceilidh on July 21st in Ickleford Village Hall (just 50 yards from Paul's home) will donate all profits to the fund. Please contact me re tickets/donations or both.
