I wasn't done. As Cocky as a mudcatter. I don't know what kind of personality you all impart in daily life, but here I say you are all a cocky, fun loving bunch.

Alistair UK, it was I who farted my way through my judo class. How did you catch wind of my story? **BG**

I have a friend who, when someone farts, exclaims "speak again, oh toothless one." Another friend says something about having stepped on a mouse.

Just getting started, Gillyflower, old sort:

As pied as a Mudcat

As many lives as a Mudcat

As mouserly as a Mudcat

As mudluscious as a mudcat (apologies to eec)

As postmudern as a Mudcat

Müde (with an umlaut for wolfgang) wie ein Mudcat.

As transcendentally muditative as a Mudcat

As threadbare as a Mudcat

Next quiz: What is the longest word you can make out of letters in "MUDCAT" used only once? I can find more than one of 5 letters; anyone got all 6?

Yours, Peter T.

I saw a thread with some guy asking about Beatles records and he was slated, and next somebody's asking about Django's Nuages and that's ok.

Re: Brakn's comment: perhaps they allowed my humble request to pass without censure, because they knew I'd bore them with five paragraphs detailing how the music of Django Reinhardt was solidly entrenched in the Gypsy folk tradition. Or perhaps they already knew it.

The Beatles request didn't make ME lose any sleep though. Now if it were ABBA? I dunno.

Rick

On the subject of ABBA. There is a song sung on the Transatlantic Sessions 2 CD, Sung by the illustrious Paul Brady. It contains a riff, played by Jerry Douglas on dobro, to which on hearing my wife said, "that sounds like an ABBA song". I poured derision on this, as you do, but then I listened again and she was quite right.

IT IS DANCING QUEEN!

Talk about stealing from the best?
