Subject: English Session in Cornwall? From: GUEST,Christhefiddler Date: 20 Jul 07 - 07:27 AM I'm off to Cornwall 6thAug to 14th and looking for English Session (or similar!). The ones I've seen on the net seem to be Irish. Where should I look? C. |
Subject: RE: English Sesseion in Cornwall? From: treewind Date: 20 Jul 07 - 09:01 AM "all are welcome to a traditional music session (instrumental and song) at The Pirate, Alverton Road, Penzance, Cornwall, every Tuesday from about 8.30pm onwards. Participants and non-participants welcome!" (from Newlyn Reelers website) I've been to this one and while it's not an English music session as such, it's "anything goes" really, and quite fun. Ask Alan and Linda Collins for further advice. If you're who I think you are, email me and I'll put you in touch. Anahata |

Subject: RE: English Session in Cornwall? From: Cats Date: 20 Jul 07 - 12:50 PM Where in Cornwall are you going to be? If you are in the far west it's no good telling you what's on in the East or north. Also, how far are you prepared to travel? You could catch the end of Sidmouth on the way down and there is usually a good session at Dartmoor Festival on the 11 & 12. |
