I remenber the Crypt Folk Club at St Mary's

Why

Because I used to run it

main attractions - y t apart - included the s skinners rats, , Southern ramblers, Don shepherd, and Richard Digance.

All the best to Lynne , hope she has loads of support,

breezy

I've been once. It was pleasant a mixture of singers and instrumentalists contemporary, traditional et al.

Lynne has to pay to use the room, so she hasn't thought about booking guests - still if she gets support I'm sure it's something that could happen in the future.

I used to love woolwich in the early sixties. Played in a coffee bar where a bloke called Richard Fripps taught me Dadgad.

Good Luck with your new venture.

My guess is St Mary's at Strawberry Hill given Breezy's occupation. I used to go to the folk things there myself as a lad.
That's where the Strawbs met up and formed what was then the Strawberry Hill Boys, and they played a lot of Bluegrass at that time.
Father Cashin was the Principle in those days.
Giok

Good luck :-)

Shouldn't you now be called "Barclays Folk Club" as Woolwich Bank doesn't exist anymore?
