There will once again be sessions over the August Bank Holiday weekend at :-
The Good Intent
John Street,
Rochester,
Kent, ME1 1YL

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=574355&y=167781&z=0&ar=Y

I shall be running the sessions on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th and 'Ruff & Ready' will be running the session on Monday 28th.

All those who have been before know what fun these sessions are and I hope to see you there. Please bring voice, instrument(s), or just come and listen. There is also a beer festival at the same time, and Dal always gets some lovely ale in.
John Barden

I like these sessions so much am considering getting a B&B for Saturday night - if not I will be there for Saturday. I'm working on Dave Kenningham. I spoke to him last night and he grunted shaking his head. I'll try again at Wednesday's folkmob.

Don't forget Monday, when The Barden has done his two days, and is on his back dribbling with exhaustion, Ruff and Reddy will be standing in the breach and playing soft melodies to sooth the troubled breast

So official from Richard Bridge, if you want your savage breast soothed, come to the Good Intent Rochester on Bank Holiday Monday, Saturday and Sunday won't be bad, but JB hasn't got the breast soothing certificate

Looks like it'll be either Sunday or Monday for us as the garden is begging for some attention during good weather. I'll have to see if I have a breast that needs toubling or soothing....

Probably won't need to kip over this time Richard, but many thanks!!

Looks like it'll be Monday before we get across, Richard has found a local music thing going on called 'GomFest' at a local pub. You've heard of GuilFest from Guildford, well this is GomFest from Gomshall *oh dear*

Anyway, glad to hear it's going well, have a Fab time today!

Todays session loked like being knocked on the head by the band that had been booked to play loudly in the Public Bar. We left at 8.10, leaving the earstwhile few holding a session in the garden. Will no doupt be there tomorrow as we didn't get half our songs out today.

Don't know that one Woodsie, but I'll let you all know in good time. In the meantime thank you all for making my two days such pleasant ones, and I hope that Ruff & Reddy have fun today. These Good Intent sessions are brilliant. I started on Saturday at 12:30, and left at 22:40. Yesterday I started at 13:00 and left at around 20:45. Consequently I'm feeling a bit kna***red today.

Well we can look forward to Knockholt now - by the way wasn't that bloke from Eastborne (or wasit Southampton) good. You know he sang abot going around on the circle line and other self-penned gems. Did anybody get his name?

Faversham hop festival - a weekend of celebration of the hop with Morris dancing and music (oh, and some drinking).

I'll go to look for a link.

So sorry we didn't manage to come along, it was such a nice day we carried on gardening & lost track of time. Then it was about teatime & too late for us to eat & get there for a decent sing. Ah well, maybe next time!
