From: TheYounguns
Date: 23 Aug 07 - 01:43 PM

Our first album has just been released due to popular demand. "To Hell With Pirate John" comprises 13 'a cappella' tracks; a mix of self penned, traditional and cover material. Tracks include "I Can Hew", "The Pace-Egging Song", "One More Day" and "The Croft".

Please visit our shop to buy online: http://www.theyounguns.co.uk/shop.html

If you know who were are or have been to one of our many concerts, you will certainly love this album!

Thanks in advance,
The Young'uns

Apologies for missing you at Herga last month - I'd been away, and hadn't realised that 23 July was a guest night. Really enjoyed your singing in the Endeavour and Station Inn at Whitby (was sitting next to you, singing high harmony, in an afternoon session at the Station Inn).

Dave Auld sang at the Herga folk club for a while, and also with the Shanty Crew.

They're English folkies, so on British Summer Time, not in a US time zone!

I (Michael) am back at school now, so coming to the sun is going to be a bit of a problem from now on...really busy! I'll encourage the other two to go though if they are not busy!

Look forward to buying it eventually. Maybe they'll have a copy or two on them?

I always enjoy seeing the lads. They are coming along very nicely indeed. Really enjoyed Dave singing his "Fried mushrooms" song at the Station at Whitby. Good one Dave!!!

Dave Auld used to sing with either a or THE Shanty Crew. Was singing with me in The Folkaholics for a while and now is off, last seen in London, but with plans to go with wife to East England. He used to sing I can Hew, and now thanks to him so do I. What a great song.
