Does anyone have the music, (chords or tab) for Bonnie Moorhen, please?

Moira Craig sings it beautifully - try a PM to Trayton .

I recorded it with Alastair McDonald on a NEVIS LP 101, 'Bonnie Prince Charlie' about 1974(?). It may have been re-released. I'll dig into it for you when I can (if someone doesn't do it first).

celticjohn,
I've had a quick look at my records and I have a rather poor casette reocrding of Alastair singing The Bonnie Moorhen which you can have if you email me at JawMac@aol.com.
I found the original in Hogg's Jacobite Relics, song number 77 and I could also email you a scan of the page if you like.

Ewan MacColl recorded this song on the Folkways LP, "Songs of Two Rebellions" -- Tom

IIRC, Colin Cater was recorded singing this for the 1964 Peter Watkins film (banned from screening on the BBC for many years) about Culloden.

Well, quite a lot of people have recorded it over the years. For some suggested chords and abc notation (which can be converted to staff at various places such as http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html), see thread  Bonny Moorhen.

If you want to hear it done superbly well, come to a CHARM concert, when Carolyn Robson, Moira Craig and Sarah Morgan ( CMR) sing it with spine-tingling harmonies!
They may even have recorded it - Google for it on the web.
