Wow...nearly 12 hours!!! This must be an obscure one!

I know it's not "traditional folk," (by which I mean centuries old by an unknown author), but this is the place that turned up the lyrics to "Backing to Birmingham" in a matter of minutes!

I'm still searching at my end, but no luck yet.

I have been having a look. Have you tried Youtube? I am finding no lyrics on the www. Do you know any of the lyrics at all?

Well I've checked youtube for "silver bird" and "silverbird" and got lots of hits, but none seems to be the right one. I don't know the lyrics--I'm asking for one of my husband's bandmates who was trying to remember it the other night. I'll see if he can give me enough of a verse or chorus to post. My husband, the estimable Reynaud, is looking through his vinyl to see if he's got it somewhere (this could take days...he has a lot of albums!)
