If anybody's in the Shrewsbury area on Saturday, Chris Harvey and myself are performing a concert of Railway songs for the Shrewsbury Railway Heritage Trust at Mereside Community Centre in Shrewsbury HERE
.

Prices are 6 pounds (or five pounds concessions) It starts at 7-30 and tickets and further information are available from Joan on 01743 460333

Hopefully we'll see some of you there

Cheers
Mark

Sorry will be at the Midland Railway museum at Butterley at their 40s event. Or it would have been a short hop from Telford to your event.

Hope event goes ok.

sorry will be at the Tenterden Festival this weekend- always interested in railway songs though. There's a steam 'folk train' there, and last weekend the Marshlink had singers on promotional; trains, so it looks as if this is a good idea- captive audience etc!
If you like, I can send you the song 'old Country Train'which I wrote a while ago- it relates to the Hawkhurst Branch, but is easily made relevant to others- though the glossary of coppertops & converts & cromptons, come to think of it, is longer than the song! Let me know if you'd like a Southern element...

Do you have a midi of the tune or the dots?

Cheers
