Subject: Lyrics to Boston songs??

Anyone have the lyrics (and Chordings?) to either of these old Boston songs?

"Southie (is My Home Town)"

"Old Scully Square" (or maybe it's "Remember Old Scully Square")

A quick look in the data base came up empty. Thanks, Rick

Copied from http://www.guitaretab.com/m/misc-irish/22512.html
(There are also chords at that site which I didn't bother to copy.)
I made some minor corrections based on another source: http://www.southboston200.com/brianarticles.htm

SOUTHIE IS MY HOME TOWN

CHORUS: I was born down on "A" Street, raised up on "B" Street
Southie is my home town.
There's something about it. Permit me to shout it:
We're tough from miles around. [or, "They're the tops for miles around."]
We have doctors and scrappers, preachers and flappers,
And men from the old County Down
Say they'll take you and break you, but never forsake you.
In Southie, my home town.

VERSE: I had an argument the other day with a guy from Oscaloo.
He was braggin' 'bout his old home town. Says I to him: "What to do?"
I got hot right under the collar. To that scholar I did holler…CHORUS

It's pronounced "Scully" but spelled "Scollay" -- that may help you search.

Aloha,

HI
I just happened to come across your site on Facebook asking if someone might have some info on old songs from South Boston area. Since I am an entertainer who performed in Southie for over 25 years from the mid 60s to the disco era (old guy) i had the pleasure of performing along with my guitar this South Boston classic Southie is my home town. Here is a second verse that you might add to that tune.

It was the Yankee division that made the decision to win a great victory. It was our boys from South Boston didn't care what it cost
them to wipe out Germany.
no matter where the enemy was lurkin there was Mickey Perkins and
the gang from Southie High, they may take you and break you but never
forsake you. Southie is my home town

hope this could be of help to you.          alcrest2000@aol.com

Your spelling is wrong -- it's Scollay Square. (Native Bostonian.)

Wouldn't you know it,
a Mudcat thread for
"Remember Ol' Scollay Square"
has an excellent posting with lyrics and chords for ...

Southie is My Home Town.
This link probably won't work.
