I have never met you, but Al says you need some cheering up, and Al's a good guy, so that makes you one, too. The pacemaker will be a boon. Some friends here in Canada have had 'em put in and they got their lives back. In fact, after a few days in the hospital one of them took a turn for the nurse. (I'm in Alberta and the jokes are few and far between.)
I've a story to tell you, but it involves a still-living man who was over the age of 70 when we rushed him to the hospital. Long and short: when our ambulance--driven by yours truly--met the paramedics half way (fastest drive I ever took, and if the machime hadn't been governed to kick out at 160 km/hr we'd have met them sooner), they were not at all hopeful. The patient had kept crashing and was returned to this world with sternal rubs--a knuckle pressed hard to the top of the sternum and run downwards with force. It is very painful and patients with life left in 'em respond to it. Anyway, the first hospital gave him a 30% chance. The second hospital gave him a 50% chance. They operated and put in a pacemaker to replace the one he had which was wearing out. I saw Mr ****** two or three days later driving his truck on the town's main street. That was eight years ago and the old guy is still going strong. He never did sing but he dances when he gets out.
You WILL be back to singing again. few months and you'll go wow 'em. And that's a good thing because so many people here really want to hear you do that. Please keep your spirits up, your powder dry and if I could remember what else I'd say it here. My very best wishes to you. I have never been sure whether or not prayer works, but in the event it does, I'll be keeping you in mind for the next while.
