I'm making a recording of what I think is called a somerhoning. I recorded a set of these tunes from an island somewhere near Denmark many years ago. on Radio 3 and they were dances suitable to "roll about" on board boats! They seem to have amalgams of bits of song tunes in them, as might be expected of sailing men coming into contact with music of many nations. My Question is is this how the genre is spelled, and does anyone know more about them, so that I can further explain about the tune if asked
