Subject: RE: what is a furtout? From: Art Thieme Date: 30 Oct 07 - 06:01 PM It's spelled FURTROUT!! In Northern Wisconsin in the USA, it gets damn cold every winter. The trout often grow fur. These are prized for their pelts. Trappers get 'em through holes in the ice with long gaff hooks. They make hats out of the pelts---ones sort of like Davy Crockett wore on TV---with the tail hanging down in back! But it's a fish tail. What do you expect? This is fish tale!! Tall!!! ART THIEME |
