Many thanks to Dave Roberts and to Tutti Flutti for including the Middlewich Folk and Boat Winter Events on their listings! I'd like to add that all the events will be raising funds for MFAB festival workshops next summer. Watch out for our raffles and you can purchase CD's from the directors shelf for a very generous donation!! Please note that the session on Sat 10th November is a 'Live and Local' event in conjunction with Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival.

Our final Winter Event is 23rd November Anthony John Clarke will headline this final festival concert. Ably supported by Kirsty McGee and Mat Martin and by Fluff with her guests - do have a look at either the festival website Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival or InAnyEvent Music Agency Tickets £10 on the door or from Liz doors 7.15 - 8pm start.

Thanks for a fantastic night, The Hut who braved the motorway in awful weather from Hull, The Weavils from a very steamy Weaver Delta, Brian, Ian, Eddie, Acoustak, Lynne, Geoff, Richard, Stephen, the recorder lady, Vikki and Trefor who made it through the fog from Wales and are still asleep in my caravan and anyone I have missed!

A full night, lots of meeting other musicians and having a great time.

Don't miss the Audlem Bagpipe and Hurdy Gurdy Day. This Saturday, November 10, the Shroppie Fly, Audlem. Sessions all afternoon, Boat Band in the pub in the evening. Part of the idiosyncratic charm of the event is the fact that the Boat Band have neither hurdy-gurdies nor bagpipes in their ranks.

Ah yes, Warburton Soulers. On the evening of Saturday 10th November the Warburton Gang will return to the Saracen's Head, Warburton (near Lymm, Cheshire) for the final performance of the season. It's a tremendously heavy day for the Gang, we kick-off the day around 1pm with a tour on foot.

The final performance is around 9 - 9.15pm which will be followed by a huge blow-out of a music session and sing. It's all free and it's great fun!

All are welcome! There is space for caravans & campervans - not found out about tents yet.

Just a reminder that this Tuesday, 13th November is Kelsall Folk Night at The Farmer's Arms, Kelsall, nr. Chester.

Last month three members of the Time Bandits came and it was a fantastic session.

Didge Lewis sends out email reminders to anyone who want to receive one. If you want to be added to his list please PM me for his email address.

The session is on the second Tuesday of every month.

Monday 17th December:
Normal Monday evening session at the Shroppie Fly, Audlem Wharf.

Wednesday 19th December:
Monthly session at The King's Arms, Shopshire St., Market Drayton
A good session but always packed so be prepared to stand if you're late!

Monday 24th December:
There will be a session on Christmas Eve at the Shroppie Fly, Audlem (normal Monday evening session - well, normalish - it is Christmas Eve, after all).

Friday 28th December:
Dusty Miller, Wrenbury. Session starts around 8:30, with one of Mark's famous suppers at about 10:30. Quite likely to be packed and a fantastic atmosphere so get there early if you want a seat.

New session also on this night at the Shady Oak, Tiverton, near Tarporley. This is a revival of a session that folded a couple of years ago because the pub closed. It's likely to be good if it's the old crowd back again. Oh why can't I be in two places at once?!

New Year's Eve: afternoon session at the Shroppie Fly 2 or 2:30 to about 5.30 Note: no evening session even though it's Monday because there is a band booked (don't know what type of music but guess rock)

If you feel the urge to cross the border the other side, into Powys, there's a session every Saturday afternoon in the market hall, Welshpool, 2 till 4pm. Fabulous acoustics. Pm me for further details.
