duncan williamson was like a father to me, he was my best friend, when he came to my mother marthas house in dunblane he would never let me make a cup of tea, and his storys and jokes were out of this world, we knew duncan for many years, and he was just like family, i cant imagine not seeing him again, rip duncan, you were one of the best. from jeannie.

I was in the Scottish Story-telling Centre yesterday on the Royal Mile, and one of the magnificent carved chairs there has now been inscribed with his name and years of birth and death.
