I notice that some stores are now starting to advertise the Transatlantic Sessions Vol 3 on DVD.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Various-Artists-Transatlantic-Sessions-3/dp/B000X6R9XC

Yippee and about time is all I can say to that! :-)

However, there's precious little information yet, and no track listing. Has anyone bought a copy, and can comment on whether it's worth getting hold of?

I assume that Vol's 1 & 2 have never been DVD released?

Many thanks, John.

There is a full listing at: HMV. It's all the programmes and three extra tracks not on the TV and a 30 minute background info film

1 and 2 are supposed to be released according to somewhere I read - footstompin site if I remember. I have a copy of both the first two series and still think that number 1 is the best. (The quality is really good generally so saying that 1 is best is a bit like criticizing a runner who loses a photo finish)

You can listen and see all the tracks from 1 and 2 (and 3) on YouTube when I last looked. Quality isn't brilliant but it will give you a good idea.

Thanks for the link Nick, I'm glad to see all the programs are there :-)

I agree with you about series 1: a true classic, unfortunately my VHS copy has been played to destruction :-(

I managed to find a reference to series 1&2 on the BCC website, but only a note to say that the DVD's for those are no long in print :-(

Cheers, John.
