Subject: help: 70s-ish Joey From: Gene Date: 17 Jan 08 - 10:46 AM Doesnt ring a bell with me...any mudcatter know this one? Does anyone remember a song from probably the late 70's. I think it was called "Joey." It used to scare me as a kid. I don't recall if it was about death or about a boy who ran away. The only lyrics I remember are: Joey, the corn is still in the meadow. Joey, the summer skies are blue. Joey, young Becky married last (summer?) and then there was a line about a dog still scratchin' at the door. Please help me! I can't sleep until I figure out who did this song! (Sent Sunday, September 30, 2007 12:38 AM) |

Subject: RE: help: 70s-ish Joey From: Sorcha Date: 19 Jan 08 - 09:42 PM Hmmmm. All of the elements seem to be in the film Vanity Fair. Becky, Joe, and a dog....but I didn't find anything either. |
