Hi all,

Just a plug for Pinewoods Folk Music Week this year - there are several Mudcatters on Staff incl. Brian Peters, John Roberts and Tim Radford - but don't just look at these, clink on the link below to get a fuller picture.

Really looking forward to this. When I was last on staff in 2001 it was a rare treat to give a ballad class to such a well-informed crowd. Right now Jeff Davis and I are comparing notes on what weird and wonderful stuff to bring to the traditional singing styles classes.

See you there, Tim!
Brian

Lesser known, but a fabulous singer with a special repertoir,
is Colleen Cleveland on staff this year. She carries her family's
Adirondak singing tradition, and has some versions of songs
no one else does. It's going to be a fabulous time with a stellar
staff... and I wish I could go. I'll be at Fiddle & Dance's
Northern Week at Ashokan (with Ian Robb as singing staff) -
and I still havn't figured out how to be in two places at once.

best to all - Pamela

I Have heard today that there are still plenty of spaces open for this week - so why not come and listen and sing and dance or even just swim in the two fresh water ponds..

Hope to see you all there - including Brian and Collen!!

Tim Radford

But rumour (rumor to our American cousins) has it that the well known Irish songstress Lindsay O'Lohan (folk singer) will be appearing :-D

Why does it all happen at once?? I'll be up in Canada cooking for Worldsongs, singing Georgian/shapenote and whatever else comes along while I chop the vegetables.

Susan
