Having just read Rick & Harpgirl's thread "Harpirl I need you" gave me an idea - wouldn't it be great if we could have our very own Mudcat radio station? Rick and Harpgirl could do their thang - and I bet theres a good few others out there who've done/are doing something similar. My small contribution as my music knowledge far inceeds(opposite of exceeds!!!!)everyone else here would be to be your announcer/newsreader/road traffic reporter type person cos that's what I do to earn a crust! Who else can fill a slot on this fantasy schedule? What would you do in your slot? Personally I'd like to see a Stan Rogers/Nova Scotia hour maybe mixed in with a bit of the seafaring stuff. 10pm on a Thursday night seems about right to me - don't know why! Anyone else?

Great idea, MO! And, just think, with all of the musical talent on here, we could do live shows all of the time!

I used to do some voice overs and LOVE to talk, so.....

Once was a disc jockey, have done a talk show, and have appeared and performed on a number of radio/TV shows. Sounds like fun to me.

A question!! At this fantasy Mudcat rodeo, would we ride real bulls or would they be the kind of robot things that John Travolta rode in __Urban Cowboy__???

Given that we now live in the Digital Age - I think it would have to be the mechanical ones - but don't kid yourself, mechanical things create as much, if not more, of the messy stuff - it just looks different - still makes you go "Urgh" though....
