Hi everyone - looking forward to the chaos of Easter, then

Relax - come and join us at the Bull in Barton Le Clay

Our regular Wednesday session has been changed to Good Friday

Around the room songs and tunes from 3pm

Then an open stage from 8pm till late

All players, singers, listeners, story tellers, comedians, poets, drinkers & dancers welcome

All in an aunthentic olde world pub with real real ale and good food

If you're not all ready booked somewhere - look forward to seeing you

The pub is right in the middle of village on the Bedford Road

Many apologies for late announcement

Wish I could join you, know you'll have a Fab evening! But we'll have about 40 Folkies staying with us for the Easter weekend so I think we'll be a bit busy. But maybe some Barton stalwarts could pop down to join the fun on the Saturday or Sunday?

Hi Jo

How are you?

I had my palm read tonight. I am going to live til I'm in my eighties, but no sign of folk stardom. Never mind. 3 true loves and sensuality in my right hand. oooooh.

Ross,

Yes, I did leave a purse - put it in a charity box somewhere (the cash anyway!).

Great Day! Really enjoyed it - I'll keep a watch out for when you do a fundraiser and bring the other half down.

Hi Martin
Of course it was! We missed you though.

I found your website Acorn4. It was nice to meet you hear your amusing lyrics.

It was great to see and hear Jo again - love your sense of humour.

Cheers everybody - many thanks again

I've just counted the money you left Dave and it comes to 63p - I'll put in the next available charity box - is the purse a heirloom?

It was interesting that you called it a purse when I called it a pouch - there must be a song in there - I'm a modern man whose raised the white flag, I'm in touch with my handbag

We did miss you Martin - I hope your weekend went well in the cold - I'll try and make Winkwell this Thursday but it's not easy, when I'm working in Bletchley that day

Cheers Cathie - have a nice holiday in Egypt - I think PA's away, so it's going to be quiet on the Herts & Beds thread this week

Cheers Jo for supporting the day and giving us such great song and wit - I was tempted to say how great Luton was, so you'd move up here and we could hear and see you more often

Unicorn Man lives in Luton - he'd be able to give you a lot of info - mostly beer and football

It's snowing here in Barton but it's not a white out

Ross, you can send the purse/pouch to the antiques roadshow!

I also knitted my own Y fronts.

That's an idea - hurry up and get famous

And then I can flog your purse on E bay for loads of dosh

Do you give signed copies of your Y fronts to fans?

Do Lady fans throw their woollen knickers/bras at you on stage?

I tried to knit a guitar once, when I was poor

Hello Ross !

Thanks for your comments, I liked your stuff too - have been singing "why dont you go and play on the M1" for the last day or so !!

It WAS a very nice afternoon and evening, and I was glad I went, was also glad to see and hear everyone there, which was great stuff, did enjoy Cathie's "sweet" voice, and lovely songs, also Dave's mad, mad outlook on life - do you think he ever sings anything SERIOUS ??? No, I dont think so either !!! Loved "Songs of Praise".

Will look out for any other "All Day's" you have going on and will try and come up for them, too.

Take care all of you

Regards
Jo-Jo
