Subject: RE: Ryedale Folk W/E 23rd - 26th May N.Yorks From: GUEST,Helen Date: 19 Apr 08 - 10:33 AM Hope so - I've made sure people at our local clubs know about it. It should be a really enjoyable weekend with plenty of performers and activities to enjoy - but particularly well worth going to see Dave Goulder. It's a long time since he toured this area and it would be a real shame to miss him. For those who aren't familiar with him, Dave is the man who wrote 'The January Man' - just one of many fine songs he has produced over the years. He will be running a song writing workshop as well as appearing in concerts. There are also a lot of singarounds throughout the weekend - so plenty of chances for those who want to perform themselves. And Ryedale Museum itself is a lovely venue - plenty for the kids to see besides the musical entertainment. |

Tel number is 01751 417272 - if you end up there, look out for the caravan flying a flag with 'Whipstaff' on it. That's us! |
