Guest Gerry entertained my folk club on the weekend with this one here What a shame the video didn't scan the audience as there were a lot of wrong actions!

If you want the words here they are - Lyr/Chords Req: Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken

Indeed a good Black Is The Colour: the proper Cecil Sharp version from his Appalachian travels, and not, praise be(!), the loathsome Niles travesty. Sensitively sung, and the harp gave a beautiful background ostinato.

Many thanks, Michaelr,

If you look for TheAnneLister you'll find some of me ...but there are also cover versions up of various songs of mine (chiefly, but not only, Icarus). Must get some more bits of vid to go with the sounds. (memo to self).

I started a thread for this, then I remembered this thread.
2016 marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of my band, Greenhouse. (Astounding, isn't it?)
I've been digitizing old videotapes and uploading them to our YouTube channel. They chronicle the evolution of the group from an acoustic trio to the semi-electric 6-piece it is now. Enjoy!

I've researched lyrics on Mudcat tons of times, but never knew till now there was music on the site too. How cool! Looks like I've got several years of fun videos to browse.

Pamela, love your old-time singing. Unaccompanied ballads are my favorite!

Amos, I enjoyed your tune about the hobo so much, I thought I'd continue the train theme here with two more songs…

Here's Wreck of the Old 97 from my husband Jeff and me…
Wreck of the Old 97

And here's Freight Train too…
Freight Train

Hope y'all enjoy these. I'm going to start looking through the earlier tunes in this thread!

There are a mess of amateur takes of mine on YouTube as a result of years of doing Open Mics around town. Here's a sample for your bemusement. :D.

Hi,
I'm still new to MudCat, so perhaps this is not of interest to many... but since the question was raised about YouTube channels, mine is:

Pamela San Diego

Now that I think of it, not a bad way to introduce myself to anyone who wants to meet me qua folk singer.

Best,
Pamela

Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore   I hope that you all enjoy it. There are other YouTube posts of this fine singer with me accompanying.   Search for Amelia Hogan.

Also, the address goes first, after the "=" and in between the 'less than' and 'greater than' signs. The text you want to display goes after it. More information is in the FAQ.

Gavin, the links you posted are ones for files located AT MUDCAT. (That's not shouting, it's just emphasis.) I'll go in and fix them when I hit "Submit Message". Basically, what you're missing for accessing a site off Mudcat (YouTube) is "a href=" at the beginning of your link address.

Gavin, I think it has something to do with your Youtube account. Both times I have pushed hard on your links I have subsequently found Chrome unable to access Mudcat for a few minutes as if the link you provide is not recognized by Mudcat's server and Chrome gets stuffy about it. Beats me, buddy.

BTW, good voice.

Clairebear, I listened to 'Long Hot Summer Day.' What a coincidence, I just took a paddleboat ride on the Illinois River in October. It was an eye-opener. That river is BIG, and we saw pelicans and bald eagles in abundance.

After years without much of an Internet presence, [2/3 of*] my band, the Dogwatch Nautical Band, has finally made the scene with its own YouTube channel, featuring 10 videos from our mini-concert at the 2013 San Francisco Free Folk Festival. Search DogwatchNauticalBand on YouTube to find them all. Or maybe this link will do the trick: The Dogwatch Nautical Band on YouTube

I just now finished a video of a disability protest song I started writing in the fall of 2011:

The Very Sad Tale of Monsters in Our Town

I'm posting it as the writer/composer. But in my head, I hear the voice of the song's narrator as a middle-aged, cigar-smoking, member of an elite "gentleman's club," which I cannot pull off. ...but, just so you know...
