Subject: RE: Mudcatters on YouTube From: CapriUni Date: 20 May 12 - 09:06 PM I posted the text versions of these poems in the Mudcat Poetry Corner thread, but then, I thought I'd post the video playlist I'm making for them as well... I'm experimenting with "framing" them with a musical "Theme" (written on Noteworthy Composer and converted to mp3). There are three poems in the cycle, so far, but I expect there to be five all told, when I'm done: The Monster Challenges -- a poem cycle Challenge 1: "The Map-Maker" Challenge 2: "The Order of Things" Challenge 3: "Anxiety." #4 will be "Identity" and #5, a wildcard (a.k.a. haven't gotten to that bridge, yet). |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters on YouTube From: Tattie Bogle Date: 11 Apr 12 - 08:51 PM I've got over 70 videos on Youtube, but I'm nearly always BEHIND the camera so very few of me! Here's one of those "blink and you'll miss it" videos - all of 8 secs, taken by a friend's husband as we did the Sport Relief Mile in Edinburgh - played continuously throughout our mile and crossed Finish line playing "Scotland the Brave", but we raised nearly £1200 between us. Full marks to Sue playing cello while walking at brisk pace! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW5PPZ5_QIY |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters on YouTube From: KingBrilliant Date: 09 Apr 12 - 06:09 PM Here's my song Castaway - but the pic is daughter Amo - she's a bit more photogenic.. ;-) I played it to my husband - but he took it to heart & it depressed him. oops. And here is a cover of Beeswing (got a nasty feeling I missed a verse though). The ripply photo is Amo's tattoo. And this is a recording Amo & I did after a friend's funeral - he had Killing The Blues as his exit song, so we rushed home, learnt it, & recorded a version amid much emotion the same afternoon. The photos are of the Thames where Ron & I used to go out in a canadian canoe & put the world to rights, hooting at joggers and shouting helpful advice like "mind the gap" to pretty much anyone we could find. |
