Can't seem to find any accurate links to sites listing folk music venues/events in North Cornwall! going to be around Bude early-mid May - any ideas?

Looks to be a year out of date and no lists.

If you are here on 9/10/11 May you could come down to the Fox and Hounds at Bridestowe north of Tavistock and south of Sourton Down. We have a weekend of singing in the skittle alley of the pub. They have their own campsite, if you want to camp indoors they have a bunkhouse and if you are feeling really rich they have pub rooms as well. Check out the Fox and Hounds Weekend threads. It was the Mudcat song and Ale of the Year last Year. pm me for more details. Where in N Cornwall are you going to be and do you have transport?

Thanks for that. I'm staying over near Bude, and was hoping to find stuff very local to there that I could just drop into at whim, don't really want to drive about or plan too much. However, it's possible I might be driving home that way on the Saturday night, if it fits in timewise I might come by.

And if anyone knows of any good music venues (not just folk) along the N.Cornwall coast, do let me know.

Some very good sessions/clubs.

Though living in Norway I've been to most of these.

Can recommend The Wellington/Boscastle on Wednesdays.

Bodmin Folk Club on Fridays and Wheal Dream/Wendron/Nr.Helston on Sundays

Bude Folk Club meet on Sunday 11th May at 8pm in The Falcon so for Sue or anyone left over from Fox & Hounds with nothing better to do why not come along!

New Bude Folk Club Website is only just under construction but can be found here
Bodmin Folk Club have Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman on Friday 2nd May and Alison McMorland and Geordie McIntyre on 9th May At The Barley Sheaf in Bodmin at 8.15pm.
And of course there is Padstow May day on 1st!!!!!

And later in May 23rd to 26th is Bude & Stratton Whitsun Folk Festival.
The Tree Inn at Stratton have music on on Friday nights, Steve Shaw is a catter he would know when they are on....... Steve? are you there?
