I'm not a song writer. I just want to say that the article from Sweden really saddened me. Some people have found another addiction, and another way to let their children down.

Maybe not quite... give-away matchbooks with quit-smoking-program ads on them prove an effective way to reach people when they're ready to change their behaviour.

Of course there is scope for a song here, but I wonder whether there really is an issue worth pursuing. There are a reported 1,895 cases of children, who say they are concerned about their parents' behaviour on the internet. Sweden has a population of around 7 million. To me that suggests that there are quite a lot of Swedish children, who are not concerned about their parents' behaviour on the internet.

Holy self-fulfilling prophecies, Batman! You were right, Artful Codger. I spent far too much time trying to find the right protocol for posting, which may leave me a cranky and impatient mom tomorrow. Sigh. Maybe I'll make it a computer-free weekend.
