Subject: RE: Obit: Cliff Hall of the Spinners gone (UK) From: GUEST,Sean Date: 30 Jun 08 - 05:20 AM I knew Cliff and Dorothy for such a short time in terms of "The Spinners", but they took me to themselves and their family so easily and without pomp. I had known of "The Spinners" and had followed their music for years in the UK, never knowing that I would meet Cliff here in Adelaide. To meet him and to get to know him and Dorothy over the years has been a privilege that I shall treasure for the rest of my life. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Cliff Hall of the Spinners gone (UK) From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 30 Jun 08 - 06:31 AM I particularly liked this from the Guardian obituary: "In 1965 Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders "borrowed" Cliff to add his deep voice to the word "love" in the recording of their chart success, Game of Love."
