BBQ 6pm to 8pm

Ron Trueman-Border and Marie Little in Concert 8pm to 11pm

Ticket price £7 which includes BBQ and afternoon and evening events.
We are subsidising this event in order to keep the cost down to you.
Tickets will need to be reserved by August 23rd to ensure we have the right amount of food for the BBQ.
There will be a bar

I have a feeling that this might be the same day as my grandson's birthday party. If so, I might be able to manage the evening part, otherwise I'm going to try and make the whole event, even if it does mean having a grandson in tow.

I confess - I wimped!. But have just seen Ian McMillan and his band - Eeee, it were grand!. Includes hurdy gurdy and nyckelharpa although not at the same time as it's the same band member who plays them.

And it's stopped raining.

But I haven't made it to the real ale tent (The Jesus Arms - honestly!) as that part of the village is a mud hole. So, I'm missing out on Confession, Absolution (and I hear they've sold out of Redemption). All courtesy of Glastonbury Brewery of course.

I'll just have to make up for it all next Saturday!.

Tickets have sold well and we have reserved additional BBQ's for late bookers.

Should be a really nice day and the forecast for Saturday is dry but cloudy 22 degrees. So we will be crossing our fingers on the weather.

Marie is indeed brilliant as is her CD Hot Pants to Hot Flushes.
I have had the pleasure of hearing her perform and am realy looking forward to doing so on saturday.
I have never heard Ron Truman-Border but I am informed we are in for a treat there as well.

Last time I played with Paul Pearson he asked me.... is this a sound check or has the gig started!This was recently at some typical pub gig near Caistor by a soundman who insisted on cranking the volume up and some young upstart asked me gruffly If I played any Oasis. Anyway I'm back refreshed from busking at the Greenbelt Festival and performing at the folk club there on the Cheltenham racecourse site. We enjoyed the whole day,even playing!
I thought all the Write Timers were great,great mix of music and MC Steve was spot on with his timing and comments.

Marie was her lovely self what a voice, and Ron Trueman Border excellent also.
