Gee, it seems like all of a sudden, Rick and Heather Fielding have a worldwide audience for their Monday Night Acoustic Workshop show (9 PM, Eastern time). At least three Mudcatteers called in during the show. All this makes me curious. I want to know how many Mudcatteers were listening to the show this evening. If you were there, post a message below.

I listened and chatted. I forgot about the show until I read the "Embarrasing Rick Fielding" thread. Missed half of it.

I managed to get in a portion of the show, and called in and spoke with Rick as well. He is on my fav's list. I listened until just before I headed out the door and up to the hill for my Memorial Day whistle time. Great stuff, Rick.

Rick's a damn snazzy dresser too! Needs a little help in the hat department, though. As someone whose had the pleasure of being on Rick's show, I'll say that he's not just a great interviewer, but he's a terrific player to jam with live! And Heather plays a mean control board, too. Thanks to you all for listening, it's nice to know you're out there and I'm so glad you enjoyed the show.

Joe, Rick won't let me sing with him, he says it's something to do with missing notes - too technical for me to understand. Also, pitch, timing, lack of repertoire (although I think that's highly subjective, I know all that Deep Purple stuff by heart).

Perhaps, if I had a possum's ass to blow into, they might let me join in the sessions, but would I want to do that??

hi Joe,

do the links you have given in the various RF threads only do live music (as in.. what the station happens to be playing at the time I tune in)........ or are there recordings of the folk stuff?? I followed them and all I can hear is funk and soul (not that I'm complaining it's good funk & soul)... but I'd like to hear Rick's show....... Is this possible or do I have to use Catspaw's method to calculate time differences for Oz?...... (by the way Joe..... I don't believe what he said about you,......I've seen the photos.....**grin** )

Hello, Fair Alison - sorry, but the only way to hear Rick's show just now is "live." I think he and Max are trying to work out a way so that we may someday be able to listen to his show whenever we want.
Rick's on Mudcat Standard Time, so you can figure what time it is in Toronto by the time of the most recent message here at the 'Cat. His show is at 9 PM on Monday, Mudcat time. Does that help explain it?

This records quite nicely if you place a little recorder right in front of your computer; also most computers nowadays have an internal recod function which can be set and then played back later. Look for "mediarack" under accessories.
