Never been to the festival but have spent time in Whitehorse, Yukon that is, and it is one heck of a beautiful spot.

Lovely festival; sadly I'm too far away from it these days.

The logo is The White Horse of Uffington - it's a famous hill figure cut into the hills overlooking the Vale of The White Horse (about 300 feet long and 2000/3000 years old). Google it and you'll find plenty of information on it.

Boy ... you REALLY got me going, but only briefly. A festival at WHITEHORSE! YIPPEE, I shouted. Why, Whitehouse is only two hours away, just past Trafton and just short of Darrington. All of this is in Snohomish county, Washington state, USA. SSHHHEEEEUUUUHHHH! Bob(deckman)Nelson ... who lives near to Whitehorse.

Will definately be there. What ever the weather it's not far from the caravan to the scout hut or the rugby club, both of which I will be frequenting! And not that far to the village hall for the concert on Saturday night. This is a lovely friendly festival with songs and tunes aplenty. Any chance of a late night sing in the showers Skipy? (that's my abiding memory of my first visit many moons ago!)

I remember seeing the White Horse carving in the hillside years ago, when I went to England with my dad. It's beautiful country there too, even though it's not in the Yukon or Washington State. LOL

WFD and I had a really wonderful time and are now back home cooking a Sunday Roast and winding down after Bill McKinnon's excellent session in the Volunteer !! I am still wearing my "Help For Heroes " wristband , and will probably continue to do so until it falls off ! It was very nice to see so many Mudcatters there, especially Chas ( " Fidjit" ) from Sweden---safe journey home, mate. Eleven out of ten for the organisers !!

In passing there's not a lot of festivals where the headline acts get stuck in at sessions. Grant & Hilary in particular are worth their weight in the precious metal of your choice. Their Make Em Laugh session was exceptionally fine :D
