Subject: RE: BUNKFEST From: Geordie-Peorgie Date: 01 Sep 08 - 06:01 PM Aah wez there! Aah did a bit of MC'in' and a tiny bit of performin'...... BUT!!!!! What aah wanted te say here was..... If ye get a chance te see Pete Orton - He's a local lad from Wallingford and V E R Y, V E R Y F U N N Y! Writes aall his own stuff and the last time aah can remember laughin' that loud and that long was in the 70's when aah saw Les Dawson! Pete's songs are immaculately crafted and superbly delivered, but divvent come along te enjoy an evenin' of tragi-ballads - Every song was funny, from the 'Kid At A&E With The Saucepan On His Head' to 'The Black Puddin' Song' and beyond. The lad is a genius!! If you run a venue of any description, BOOK HIM! Aah guarantee ye'll hev him back mair than once!! |
Subject: RE: BUNKFEST From: GUEST,bigdrummergirl Date: 03 Sep 08 - 08:51 AM There wasa distinct lack of freshly squeezed lemonade. Yours would have been particularly welcome in the heat of Saturday and on Sunday to relieve the hangovers which must have been in evidence after the bar was virtually drunk dry on Saturday night.
