Its pretty much a three chord trick . If you know the words - I'll stick chords in for you.

Funny.... we saw SOH this weekend. My wife was describing to a friend on the phone - the way the hairs on the back of your neck just stood up on end when Paul and Phil used to sing together. This song was one of their show stoppers. I think it was on Paul's Still Life album.

Your memory is working WLD. I used to have that album. Paul played piano on it too, didn't he? Paul and Phil playing and singing together is something I would travel a long way for. Had some pretty privileged years, didn't we?

They did a gig at Nettlebed together recently, a recording of which is available on Phil's Chudleigh Roots website here . And Paul's 'Still Life' album, with the song on, along with his 'Life Goes On' is available from Paul on a CD, all profits from which go to the Children's Hospice South West. Haven't seen him since the '70s, but I think the rumour a while ago was that he was doing something in the visual arts field. Shame - I'd book him like a shot!

Simon of Urban Folk and K-Passa mentioned him when he was in Köln with the Urban Folk a few years ago. He told me that he was a friend of his family's. Apparently he had spent some time in the Far East and then moved back to the UK. He gave up playing music some time ago. He always was a good cartoonist, but he had had some success as a visual artist.
I always liked "I Could Not Take My Eyes Off Her", but Dave Paskett was also very funny live. Most people will recall his comedy songs and poems if they saw him.
