Apparently, as far as I could tell from the brief article, she is in Alaska (or maybe lower 48 - people keep recognising her) somewhere - definitely not Oz... one of those "oh bugger, no earthquakes today, let's have a 'human interest item' to go to the ads" moments...

Part of certification as a true "celebrity," these days, would seem to involve the appearance of "celebrity look-alikes."

On that score, Ms Palin seems to have made the grade very quickly, and has already suppassed Mr Obama as a gen-u-wine tabloid-grade celeb.

For all the Republicans' denunciation of their opponent as "nothing but a rock-star celebrity," their own VP candidiate seems to have attained non-political star status first.

On Saturday Night Live she was Sarah Plain doing a lecture with Hillary by her side.

Sarah Palin doesn't need to be left alone. She is running for vice president of the US.
