Do we get to shoot at the apple trees in the garden, in order to keep the leopards away?
It is an old English custom, you know!

We are not afraid... you should already know this. And anyway no-one's aim will be steady due to the usual libations. Grrrrrr.

Growler we know from your past employment that you already had the arrows - didn't know you had the bows too. Bet they look real sassy.!

Pete, I am terrified of German Shepherds. I was nearly attacked by one when I was 4 or 5. And was bitten by one when I was 12 or 13. She probably bit me because she could smell my fear.    Still have the scar on my upper thigh.

Typically, I get on with all animals. Before I had kids and became squeamish, I used to catch lizards and green snakes, play with spiders etc.

But German Shepherds ..... well we will just have to see. Maybe I will have outgrown my fear.

VT
Bismarks my sisters dogs temperment is fine my sister has two young children who adore him and vice versa,The truth is I will not bring him the fact is for the ammount of time I will be at Rochester a few hours he will be fine in doors if I walk him before I go he is house train to perfection. and a good house dog to. So rest easy. Horses and ferrets are all well and good but dogs in tow in pubs well its not good for them and it taxing on there owners.

Virginia, I share your distrust of German Shepherd dogs after being badly bitten some years ago. I have no bad feelings about any other dogs unless they are growling and baring their fangs, then I stay clear.

German shepherds? Are they the ones that wear leather shorts and spend all day yodelling?

Or am I confusing them with the Swiss shepherds?

Chrissake. I am allergic to flea bites. Seriously. Just a few bites landed me in emergency room twice. Please leave the fleas at home. I'd rather have the the German Shepherd or even the wasps.

Nipple image = too much infomation.

Sue, best wishes to Trev from Kev and Dilligaf.
No more fags - not had a ciggy since end of Feb this year - he'll manage it, loads of support from us lot!!!

PTH - is it the parrot or you that has a bit missing? :-)

VT - So your vision of hell would be a German shepherd, with fleas and a deformed nipple!!?? Seriously - MOST dogs are fine, as are MOST Sheps - it's down to how you approach them - friendly, silly voice, hand open and upturned and low down and then up to their chin (RM et al, do NOT compare that to any of your ex encounters!)

Ok, night RM, night RB, night VT, night PTH, night Melodionboy, night The Bard, night Growler, night essex Girl, Night Dilligaf, night Girl Friday nigggghhhhhhhttttttttttt zzzzzzzzzz :-)

Latest on recovering heart patient. I have just scoured the internet for, and printed the leaflet that he imagined he'd brought home from the hospital. He's busy reading it. He's eating less rubbish and more fruit. Sleeping a bit during the day, but going to bed earlier and getting up by 8 am. He musn't go outside in wet and windy weather, so today he's a couch potato refining his aimlessly mooching about indoors skills. Before I saw the dos and dont's I got him to unscrew a jar of pasta sauce. He mustn't do that. He's watching Coronation Street, we haven't watched soaps for about 3 years. Half an hour of Corrie later and he's looking for something else to do. Time for tea.
