Subject: RE: Radio Ballads Feature Radio mersyside From: GUEST,CJB Date: 22 Sep 15 - 06:26 AM The full 'Travellers' CD is available on Amazon / eBay. And I'm sure that Peter Cox can supply details of the missing parts - to promote his book he lectured around in many place for quite a time. |

Subject: RE: Radio Ballads Feature Radio mersyside From: Richard Mellish Date: 21 Sep 15 - 07:15 PM Most frustrating. There seems to be a little bit missing at the beginning and the end is definitely missing. Cox explains that he's going to play two extracts from Travelling People, the second to allow listeners to recover from the first, which was the last 45 seconds of that Radio Ballad. That extract is indeed frightening. But then the archive.org copy stops before the second extract. So we miss the recovery. |

Subject: Radio Ballads Feature Radio mersyside From: Fred McCormick Date: 01 Dec 08 - 05:41 AM Radio Merseyside are broadcasting an interview with Peter Cox, author of Set Into Song, the story of the radio ballads, this coming Thursday. The book has been available for several months of course, so apologies for the hiatus are in order. But we did run into more than a few problems. It will be available for 7 days afterwards on http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/local_radio/index.shtml . |
