Hello. I am trying to find the lyrics to a song that may be entitled 'sweet apple trees.....?' which contains the lines - "sweet apple trees my hearts delight i'll eat no peach or pear, and pippin she is the queen of all and that i do declare" and "that french delice her name is true shes golden on the tree, but shes no taste at all, oh no, she'll get no gold from me"......anyone help?

This song has been mentioned at Mudcat before, in the thread called Songs for Apple Day:

Bob Kenward of Kent has written a superb song about different varieties of apple. It starts off

'Good apple, she's my heart's delight,
I'll pick no peach or pear,
And pippin she's the queen of all
And that I do declare'.

I think you could find him by Googling on Kent Folk. He's a good singer and writer of songs in the traditional style.

That's all it says.

What's the proper title of the song you posted, Bob? I'd like to add proper title and songwriter attribution to your post, so it looks like this:

Sweet Orange Pippin in which form it appeared on Tundra's album
