Subject: Tech: Error notice From: GUEST, topsie Date: 16 Mar 09 - 07:01 AM I keep getting a little box on my screen that says Windows Internet Explorer ! Error type is error error evt is [object] OK How can I tell them it is OK when I haven't a clue what it means? Is it something sinister? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Error notice From: Bill D Date: 16 Mar 09 - 01:37 PM "Ok" just means, "yeah...I heard you" (The 'error' is using Internet Explorer... *grin*) It is not likely to be sinister... Do you notice it happening at specific points, or on certain sites? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Error notice From: Austin P Date: 16 Mar 09 - 03:26 PM 'Error type is error' Classic. Typical Micro$oft. Download Firefox. Now. Do it. You know you ought to ... ;o) AP |
Subject: RE: Tech: Error notice From: GUEST, topsie Date: 16 Mar 09 - 04:31 PM I'm reassured by Bill D's "It is not likely to be sinister ...". At the moment it is popping up when I try to read my emails, but not every time. (It has never appeared on Mudcat.) Norton virus scan hasn't found anything untoward. I was getting it a couple of weeks ago but then it stopped for a while. I'll have a bit of a clearout of stuff I'm not using. Thanks folks. |
