Subject: anyone want to help on a new song? From: olddude Date: 26 Mar 09 - 09:10 PM ok I just wrote a really simple silly waltz. I thought it would be fun if any catters wanted to add a violin, or voice or anything else to it and we could mix it together and see what it turns out to be. Could be fun on this spring day. song is called for lack of a better term My Waltz it is in progress. We could take all the mp3 files and mix em together and see what we have My Waltz Dan |

Subject: RE: anyone want to help on a new song? From: olddude Date: 27 Mar 09 - 07:51 AM Thanks Kat that would be fun. Here are the words My waltz - Dan O'Connell Outside my window the robin red sings and wind blows along through the pines the flowers are waking the winter is still and the old train is going down the line Chorus: When the robin red sings, it's a sure sign of spring and my love I will always be true with your ruby red lips and your soft gentle kiss I will wait in the meadow for you in the spring time a mans heart turns fancy my dear and his thoughts turn to many a maid but my heart is taken with none that's so fair as my golden hair lass down the lane chorus: When the robin red sings, it's a sure sign of spring and my love I will always be true with your ruby red lips and your soft gentle kiss I will wait in the meadow for you |
Subject: RE: anyone want to help on a new song? From: jacqui.c Date: 27 Mar 09 - 09:14 AM Pretty song! I'm looking to see how we could record here - the only recording device we might be able to use is the audio tape. I'll have to see what can be done with the camcorder. |
Subject: RE: anyone want to help on a new song? From: olddude Date: 27 Mar 09 - 10:14 AM Thanks Jacqui I am so glad you like it just tossed it together and thought it would be really fun to have folks try to add parts to it and get folks playing. Many computers have built in Microphones. See if yours does then using windows sound recorder you could get it down. I think your camcorder would work also. I would love to have you join in. Thanks so much Dan |

Subject: RE: anyone want to help on a new song? From: katlaughing Date: 27 Mar 09 - 11:13 AM So, if I am thinking clearly, I can listen to you singing with my headphones and sing into my mic and record at the same time, but the recording would be just my harmonising which you could then mix in? (I was thinking about this last night, wondering how I'd get the harmony down without singing along/hearing you!**bg**) |
Subject: RE: anyone want to help on a new song? From: olddude Date: 27 Mar 09 - 11:37 AM That works Kat cause I am pretty sure I could take your voice and lay it on another track like the Bankley Mister did to my train song for me and then mix it right in ... that should work fine. I would just have your harmony and could put it right in very cool |
