Moonbeams Folk Festival at the Wold Top Brewery.. 2009!


This year Moonbeams will be holding a Folk Festival at the award winning Wold Top Brewery set on top of the Yorkshire Wolds. On Saturday 11th July there will be music entertainment from noon till midnight.. Two stages, Session tent, Theatre Group on site, Wold Top Bar, Locally produced food stall, Face painting, Dancers, Craft stalls and Level Camping with excellent views over the wolds.

Dan really is great.. I'm so glad he's playing.. I went along to see him play with his band before Christmas and was blown away.. a very talented lovely chap! He will also be making an appearance on Saturday for my Acoustic Sets at Beverley Folk Fest.. so if your there do pop in!

After seeing Duncan and his Band this weekend, and being reminded how Fab they are... You should definatly not miss this Festival or any other they are playing at this summer!

Forgot to say nice to meet you at Dent, Leila - we'll get some flyers distributed in Bradford! Not sure if we will make it yet but it sounds great - we have had many of the artists who are appearing at Moonbeams on at my venue The Raggalds recently and they have all been excellent!

My top tip for the audience - buy Katriona & Jamie's new CD - its stunning (as are the Wold Top beers)! Oh and pre order Gerry's CD as I'm sure that will be great too. :)

Just got back from building stages etc. for the Moonbeams Wold Top Frstival where I was persuaded to take s small libation as a preview of the wonderful beer which will be at the Festival this weekend. Well if you miss this its your own fault. The beer was tre....mendous and with the fabulous artists and singarounds its going to be a great weekend in exceptional surroundings.
Definitely not to be missed!!!

Well, just got back. To say it was good would be a considerable understatement. It was FABULOUS. The setting was, without doubt, the most beautiful of any festival we've been to and loads of space for camping. Leila, don't know how you did it, but the weather, instead of the planned rain, was glorious. As for the festival iteself - well, a totally fabulous range of great artists, the whole organisation was faultless, the beer was exquisite (and, of course, I drank far too much). What was especially wonderful for us (Whipstaff) is that we could perform our songs in the singarounds right in the heart of the countryside they were written about. Oh, and we met such amazing people who we know will become firm friends.Hope to see some of you at Hardraw.

Leila, huge thanks to you and all those who helped to organise such an amazing event. Let's hope it becomes and annual one because we want to book for next year right now (only could you make it a bit longer)!

It was lovely to meet you and your family (Mr & Mrs Leveller and Holly).. I do hope to be at Hardraw, thats a fab weekend and a lovely get-together!

The Festival (all being well) will be on BBC 1 tonight at 5.50, before Antiques Roadshow.. only shame is, it will only be shown in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire..

I'm a bit lost for words at the mo.. big smile on my face though!!!
